About Me
I am a BACP registered counsellor.
My experience began right after I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. I worked for two years at a Psychiatric hospital, where I provided counselling and case management for individuals presenting with a clinical diagnosis (e.g. Schizophrenia, Bipolar Disorder).
Right after that I started pursuing my Doctorate in Counselling Psychology. I carried out various clinical placements in the NHS and in short-term settings as well as in long-term settings.
I work existentially which means I emphasise meaning-making within my work. However my diverse experience has called upon a more integrative approach, which means I borrow techniques from various different sources: the medical model, psychoanalysis as well as some elements of CBT and mindfulness. This because my experience taught me that no two people are the same.
I practice in English but can also offer therapy in Arabic.
